Balance

The Rule of Third

Lines

This is a good example lines because the way the pieces of wood go up and down.

Framing

The reason why i choosed this picture for framing was because the border and the newspaper make a frame to the guy in the middle.

simplicity

This is simplicity because you can see the towers without any distraction. And for the most part the background is pretty clear.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

A. Pretty much Isarel messed up with their rockets. And used photo shop to fix it. They also added another rocket and zoomed out.

B. It is unacceptable because it is false information.

i picked this one because they faked he photo even though they did meet their was no photo. What if in the meeting they never shook hands so people may think that the two countries may be cool with each other and what if they are not.
This one doesn't really matter because its on a magazine and nobody really cares.

Post Shoot Reflection

http://whoskicks.blogspot.com

A lot of the photos have a really nice picture. And the photos are nice and clear.
He could improve on having a better background for the photo he is taking.

40 Greatest Photos

I picked this photo because i am a dog owner and this dog looks like he just misses his owner. I also like the background and how clear and visible the photo came out. And its just looks really sad.Vanderlei Almeida

I picked this photo because it look really cool how the koala is drinking the water out of the water bottle. And it is really nice how the firefighter gave the koala some water, he must have been really thirsty because of the fire. Mark Pardew
I picked this photo because it is just a really sad time for a person when someone dies. And i just like how the photo came out real nice you can see the reflection off of the window. Just a really nice photo. Getty Images

National Geographic Contest

This is my favorite photo because i like how the water ripples wave around the animal. And i also like animals so that is a reason  picked it. It looks very cool how the animals are spitting out the water, and the backgrounds just looks all some.

camera parts

Aperture-an opening, as a hole, slit, crack, gap
Shutter-a mechanical devise for opening and closing the aperture of a camera lens to expose film or the like.
Exposure The total amount of light received by a photosensitive surface or an area of such a surface or an area of such a surface, expressed as the product of the degree of illumination and the period of illumination.
depth of the field- The range of distances along the axis of an optical instrument, usually a camera lens, through which an object will produce a relatively distinct image.
F-stop - The setting of an adjustable lens aperture, as indicated by an f number.
Focal length - The distance between an object lens and its corresponding focal plea in a telescope.

Flash button-gives out sudden burst of light when pressed
Settings button-when pressed it will go to the settings options which help you change the settings for the camera
Menu button-when pressed it goes to the menu which allows you to see all the options
Playback button-when pressed it will lead you to the pictures you have taken
AF point selection button-when pressed it will focus on the objective you are trying to take a picture of

the camera

  1. The effect came to be known as the camera obscura which is Latin for dark room. This was the first camera. The hole acted like a lens, focusing and projecting light onto the wall of the dark chamber.
  2. Issac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding of optics and the process of making high quality glass lenses.
  3. A glass lens, a dark box, and film.
  4. New cameras are very easy to use, just point and shoot. The camera's built-in computer handles focus and exposure so you don't have to.
  5. Light passes through the lens, into the camera, and exposes the film. And guess what? The end result is still a photograph.
  6. Operating modes are the most basic, and essentially tell the camera whether to take pictures or display them. Some cameras only have on and off. Operating modes can usually be found on buttons or dials on the camera body.
  7. To attempt to blur out the background, camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting (aperture).
  8. To freeze motion, camera will use the highest shutter speed possible.
  9. If the subject is somewhat off-centre, the auto-focus may be fooled. You have probably seen this effect many times before. A half-press will tell the camera that you're almost ready to take a shot and to be prepared, triggering the following things to happen
  10. Auto-Flash, In most camera modes, Auto-flash is enabled by default and will automatically fire if the camera thinks it needs more light.
  11. Disabled Flash, no flash. There are many cases where you may not want flash at all. The mood of the photograph can sometimes be more dramatic when the natural light is used.
  12. Too much light and the picture will be washed out. Not enough light and the picture will be too dark. A good photograph depends on calculating the exposure settings that will give the film the "right" amount of exposure.
  13. It will be dark.
  14. The term "stop" is used in every aspect of photography to represent a relative change in the brightness of light.
  15. 1
  16. 2
  17. It has more light.
  18. It has less light.
  19. Before light reaches film, it must pass through an opening called an Aperture. The aperture is like a pupil. You can control the aperture by setting the "Aperture Opening", also known as an F-Stop.
  20. The longer exposures  like 1 second  give much more light to the film than a 1/1000 of a second exposure. So even though the number may look bigger, don't be deceived!

Welcome to my blog

This is my worst photo. It was a bad angel, pose. All around bad photo.
This is my best photo by photo by far. It is a good pose. Anjelica has a smile on her face. She is looking at what she is pointing at.
